coeo UK are delighted to announce the appointment of Ian Parry as Strategic Relationships Director, marking a significant addition to our senior leadership team. A respected figure in the debt management sector, Parry brings over 30 years of experience and a deep understanding of both the financial services and utilities industries.
His recruitment underscores coeo UK’s commitment to forging long-term client partnerships, while enhancing our focus on strategic account management, customer choice, and responsible innovation.
Parry has long been recognised across the industry for his collaborative approach and insight. Over the past year, he worked with coeo UK to facilitate a series of successful industry roundtables, which not only sparked valuable market discussions but also gave him first-hand exposure to the company’s culture and capabilities.
“Joining coeo UK felt like a natural next step,” said Parry. “I’m fortunate to be at a stage in my career where I can choose who I work with, and coeo’s values, ambition, and the opportunity to make a real impact really appealed to me. I thrive in environments where I’m trusted and included, and I’ve found that at coeo.”
Parry’s initial focus will be on expanding the influence of coeo UK’s industry roundtables, identifying client challenges and developing relevant solutions, and introducing a strategic account management approach to deepen existing relationships. His vast experience will also support internal capability-building through knowledge sharing.
“I see myself, above all, as someone who helps people,” Parry added. “If I can use my knowledge to support colleagues and clients, I’ll consider that a success. The collections industry is something we can be proud of, it has evolved into a values-driven, professional, and increasingly tech-enabled sector. coeo are at the forefront of that transformation.”
Phil McGilvray, Chief Executive Officer of coeo UK, emphasised that Parry’s appointment forms a core part of the firm’s strategic direction.
“Ian is a seasoned and successful leader, known for creating trusted relationships and delivering long-term value. He not only brings decades of experience but shares the values and culture we’re cultivating here at coeo UK,” said McGilvray.
“He will play a pivotal role as we grow our presence in financial services and utilities and strengthen our reputation for delivering exceptional results through people and AI-enabled solutions.”
coeo UK are part of the wider coeo Group, operating across seven European countries. In 2024, the Group generated €350 million in revenue. As UK organisations continue to face complex financial and regulatory challenges, Parry’s appointment reinforces coeo’s ability to provide clients with thoughtful, innovative and human-led services.
Parry concluded, “I’m excited to get started and see what we can achieve together.”
